Multan Electric
Power Company (MEPCO) has released
a Tender Notice in Date of 9th April 2021 in different Daily
Newspapers of Pakistan.
Multan
Electric Power Company (MEPCO) intends to hire the services of ICAP approved Statutory
(External) Audit Firm enlisted in Category-A of the panel of auditors issued by
the State Bank of Pakistan through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) under
single stage two envelop procedure for: -
i. External audit of Financial Statements
of MEPCO for FY 2021-22 year the period from 1st July, 2021 to 30th
June, 2022) in accordance with requirements of Companies Act, 2017, IFRS, FAS,
ISA applicable in Pakistan and National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
ii, Review of Statement of Compliance
with the SECP Public Sector Entities Corporate Governance Rules, 2013, for the
Financial Year 2021-22.
iii, Review of ERP/SAP including FICO, MM
and HCM Modules.
iv. The External Auditors shall
independently report to shareholders in accordance with statutory and
professional requirements. They shall also report to the Board and Audit Committee
the matters of audit interest as laid down in the Companies Act, 2017, IFRS, IAS,
ISA applicable in Pakistan.
Interested
firms must provide focused information, demonstrating that they are qualified
to perform the services. The firms shall submit a comprehensive Technical
Proposal and Financial Proposal (separately) for the services required under
Request for Proposal (RFP).
The
bidders will be evaluated and selected according to the selection criteria
mentioned in Request f or Proposal (RFP) document. The evaluation shall be 70 %
for technical proposal and 30% for financial proposal.
All costs
incurred as a result of this RFP invitation and any subsequent requests for
information shall be borne by the firms.

i. Bidding documents can be downloaded
from MEPCO Website www.mepco.com.pk or
can be obtained from Office of Finance Director MEPCO, Multan free of cost and submitted
within 15 days during office hours on all working days, starting from the date of
advertisement, till the time before the deadline for submission of bids.
ii. The RFP must be submitted at the
address given below, Late submission and wrongly placed RFPs will not be
entertained.
iii, MEPCO may reject all bids or at any
time prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal in accordance with Rule 33 of
PPRA Rules, 2004 amended from time to time.
